Songoftheday 4/15/13 - Both sides are fightin', you don't know who to choose...

Loverboy - "Queen Of The Broken Hearts"
from the album Keep It Up (1983)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #34 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 3

Today's Song of the Day is by the Canadian pop-rock act Loverboy, whose first single from their third album Keep It Up, "Hot Girls In Love", give them their biggest hit up to that date. For their followup, the boys bared their chests (mostly) and went to the desert for "Queen Of The Broken Hearts", written by singer Mike Reno and guitarist Paul Dean, and produced by 'big-sound" man Bruce Fairbairn. The chick behind the hilariously primitive computers was a contest winner to get to be in the video...

"Queen..." became the band's fifth top-40 hit in the US, while also reaching the top-20 of the rock radio chart as well.

Up tomorrow: a "Maniacal" robot.
