Aussie Sweep: April 24, 2013...

G'day, mates, it's time again for this week's sampling of the songs making their debut on the official sales chart in Australia this week, as British singer/songwriter Passenger racks up week number four with "Let Her Go"...

The top entry this week at #15 is Korean viral video wonder PSY, who topped the charts here last year with "Gangnam Style", and is back with "Gentleman"....

Canadian Avril Lavigne brings her latest one "Here's To Never Growing Up" to this part of the Commonwealth at #16. She topped this chart twice before, with "Complicated" in 2002 and "Girlfriend" five years later...Mind you she's engaged to 10-years-older Chad Kroeger of Nickelback...

As opposed to last week, when a flurry of debuts from The Voice arrived, this time out only three come on the chart, with Imogen Brough (from Victoria) the biggest at #43 with her version of Florence + The Machine's "Never Let Me Go" (while the original, a #3 hit here, reappears at #53)...

American rapper B.o.B. returns at #55 with "Castles" featuring Trey Songz. He's had six total top-10 hits here, with "Airplanes" going to #2 in 2010...

The next Voice single to make the chart at #82 is another Victoria native, Nicholas Roy, with "Falling Slowly" from Once...

Electronic dance act Major Lazer score their second hit here at #87 with "Watch Out For This (Bunyaye)". Last year their "Get Free" went to #39...

Australian singer Iggy Azalea, from Sydney, actually went top-20 in Britain first with her debut single "Work", but it arrives here at #88...(NSFW)

The final Voice entry at #96 is the third from Victoria - Michael Paynter with his version of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know"...

The last debut of the week at #100 is drum-and-bass act Shockone with "Lazerbeam" featuring Metric & Kyza, and it's my "Aussie Pick of the Week"...
