Today's Song of the Day is by the New Jersey-born R&B group Kool & The Gang, who by the end of 1982 had two top-40 hits under their belt, "Get Down On It" and "Big Fun".  The second single released from their As One album was the reggae-flavored "Let's Go Dancin' (Ooh La La La)", written by Robert "Kool" Bell and the group, and produced by Eumir Deodato...

"Let's Go Dancin'" made the top-30 on the pop chart, as well as #7 on the R&B chart and #6 on the British singles chart.
