"Whisper To A Scream (Birds Fly)" was a club and radio hit for the British new wave band Icicle Works. Appearing on their debut album The Icicle Works, the song was written by lead singer Ian McNabb and produced by Hugh Jones, with an extended remix by Steve Thompson. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80, the single peaked at #13 in 1984, while reaching #37 on the pop Hot 100, and #18 on the Mainstream Rock radio chart.
