"Broken English" was a club hit for veteran art-rock songstress Marianne Faithfull. Appearing on her album Broken English, the song was written by Marianne with Barry Reynolds, Joe Mavety, Terry Stannard, and Steve York. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100, "Broken English" was listed with it's "B-Side" track, "Why D'ya Do It". The single peaked at #59 in 1980.
