Disco Dessert 2/16/23 - "Connect Up To Me" by Ric Ocasek...

 

 

"Connect Up To Me" was a club hit for Ric Ocasek, the lead singer for the new wave band the Cars. Appearing on his first solo album Beatitude, the song was written and produced by Ocasek, with a remix for the clubs done by Francois Kevorkian and Mark Fotiadis. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80, the song was listed with the promotional single's "B-Side", "Prove", which also got club play. The single peaked at #37 in 1983.
