Disco Dessert 2/17/23 - "Heartache" by Pepsi & Shirlie...

 

 

"Heartache" was a big club hit for the British duo Pepsi & Shirlie, who previosly were the backup singers for George Michael and Wham!. Appearing on their debut album All Right Now, the song was written by Wayne Brown, Iris Fernando and Tambi Fernando, with the latter producing the track with Phil Fearon. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #2 in 1987. It also went to #2 on the British Singles chart and #78 on the American pop Hot 100.
