"La Bamba" was a club hit for Antonia Rodriguez. Appearing on her debut album Dance With Me, the record is a cover of the traditional Mexican folk song that was adapted to the rock era by the late Richie Valens. This version was produced by Horst Hornung, who took writing adaptation credit with Norbert Daum. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #34 in 1979.
