Can I Take My Hounds To Heaven - Tyler Childers

Icelandic fairy queen returns after a five-year break with this art piece that needs your full attention to comprehend totally.
 
Melt My Eyez See Your Future - Denzel Curry

 Florida rapper focuses inward with his fifth studio album that's now augmented with a separate disc of takes with a live band. This track is simply one of the best rap singles of the year.

Doggerel - Pixies

Alternative Rock legends are back with Black Francis as snarly as ever and the band ready to rumble.

Christian rock isn't my gig at all, but Williams can make a believer out of me with this emotionally wrecking set.

Hardcore punk supergroup with members of the Circle Jerks, Redd Kross, Rocket From The Crypt, and Burning Brides reconvene for this dirty apocalyptic release.

86-year-old blues master is just as relevant as ever, producing this essential piece including this stunning distillation of current events.

Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville - Ashley McBryde

This may very well be my favorite country album of the whole year. Released rather quietly, this song cycle from McBryde sports big cameos from Brandy Clark and the Osborne Brothers, but it's Ashley's show here, cresting with this emotional climax of the set.

British DJ/rapper/singer skates the lines between electronica, trap, and hyperpop on her debut studio set. A chillout record for the new generation.

The hard rock supergroup that has had a revolving door of aces in the hole come into and out of the act return with their sixth set, and second with lead singer Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. This week's headbanging album.

Two decades after his debut, British popster David keeps things up to date with some nice collabs with MNEK and Galantis to make a solid mainstream album.
