Disco Dessert 6/4/22 - "Brand New Lover" by Dead Or Alive...

 

 

"Brand New Lover" was a big club and radio hit for the British new wave group Dead Or Alive. Appearing on their album Mad, Bad, & Dangerous To Know, the song was written by the band's Pete Burns, Steve Coy, Tim Lever, and Mike Percy, and produced by the team of Stock Aitken Waterman. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart, the single spent two weeks at #1 in 1986, while climbing to #15 on the American pop chart and #31 in their native Britain.
