"Trouble" was a club and radio hit for singer and actress Nia Peeples. Appearing on her debut album Nothin' But Trouble, the song was written and produced by Steve Harvey and remixed by Shep Pettibone. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1988, while peaking at #35 on the pop Hot 100 and making it to #71 on the R&B Singles list.
