Disco Dessert 6/19/22 - "Zulu" by the Quick...

 

 

"Zulu" was a big club hit for English funk duo the Quick. Appearing on their album Fascinating Rhythm, the song was written and produced by the act's Colim Campsie and George McFarlane. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top 100, the single spent two weeks at #1 in 1981, while reaching #60 on the R&B Singles chart.  The Quick would resurface later in the decade as Giant Steps with a top 20 pop hit in America with "Another Lover" in 1988.
