"What's On Your Mind (Pure Energy)" was a big club and radio hit for the new wave group Information Society. Appearing on their album Information Society, the song was written by the group's lead singer Kurt "Valaquen" Harland and synth player Paul Robb, and produced by Fred Maher. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent two weeks at #1 in 1988, while making it to #3 on the pop Hot 100.

In 2001, "What's On Your Mind" was re-released with new mixes, and re-entered the Dance Club Play chart, peaking at #4...
