Disco Dessert 5/20/22 - "Victim Of Love" by Elton John...

 

 

"Victim Of Love" was a club hit for rock and pop music legend Elton John. Appearing on his album Victim Of Love, the song was wasn't written by Elton at all, but rather by producer Pete Bellotte (who worked with Donna Summer), Sylvester Levay, and Jerry Rix. On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-100 chart, the entire Victim Of Love album was listed as a single entry, with "all cuts" deemed key DJ cuts. The album peaked at #55 there in #1979, surprisingly his first appearance on a dance chart and last until 1988. The "Victim Of Love" single also peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart.
