"Stand Up - Sit Down" was a club hit for AKB, a duo of DJ/producers from Philadelphia. Appearing on their album Rhythmic Feet, the song was written and produced by the act's Andy Kahn and Kurt Borusiewicz (where the AKB comes from). On Billboard magazine's Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #12 in 1979.
