"Day By Day" was a big club hit for R&B singer Dajae, the stage name for Chicago native Karen Gordon. Appearing on her sole album Higher Power, the track was written and produced by Cajmere (Curtis Alan Jones). On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1996.
