Disco Dessert 1/22/21 - "Worker Man" from Patra...

 

 

"Worker Man" was a big club hit for Jamaican dancehall singer/toaster Patra. Appearing on her debut album Queen Of The Pack, the song was written by the artist (under her birth name Dorothy Smith) with producer Tony Kelly. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1994, while reaching #20 on their R&B chart and #53 on the pop Hot 100.
