"Turn It Up" was a club hit for dance-rap duo Oaktown's 357. Appearing on their second album Fully Loaded, the song was written by member Djuana Johnican with producers James Earley and Michael Kelly, and featured background vocals from dance music veteran Tata Vega. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #46 in 1991, while rising to #18 on their R&B chart, and #66 on the pop Hot 100, their biggest success.
