Pop Sweep: March 26, 2016...

Hey guys, I'm back to run down the latest music on the charts this week, and this time out I've got the newest hits in pop music in America, according to Billboard' magazine.

On their "big" chart, the Hot 100, which combines tallies of radio airplay from all formats, sales (like Amazon MP3 and iTunes), and internet streaming (like Spotify and YouTube), Rihanna and Drake spend a fourth week at #1 with "Work"...

This year's Grammy winner for Best New Artist, pop singer/songwriter Meghan Trainor, lands the top new entry of the week all the way up at #11 with the first single from her upcoming second album, "NO". However, the video for this won't be out until the end of the month, and there's not even an official audio or lyric clip for it, so Meghan, you may have jilted yourself out of another top ten hit... (Well, whatya know, the video just was released on Monday...)

At #54 is country singer/Voice coach Blake Shelton with "Came Here To Forget". It's the preview of his May release If I'm Honest. And look, Meghan, he knows how to put up an audio clip! Blake's last album placed four singles on the Hot 100 with the third, "Sangria", making the top 40 at #38...

Another (former) coach on The Voice, Shakira, is back at #66 with "Try Everything". The song is from the animated movie Zootopia. The Colombian songstress has had four top-10 pop hits in this country, with "Hips Don't Lie" reaching #1 ten years ago...

Rapper Kendrick Lamar released his untitled. unmastered. album of outtakes from his classic To Pimp A Butterfly album, and two of the tracks made the Hot 100 on their own. First at #79 is "Untitled 02 | 06-23-14"...

Jake Owen is back at #83 with "American Country Love Song". It's the second release from his upcoming fifth studio album; the first, "Real Life", went to #74 last year...

The second entry from Lamar's album at #90 is "Untitled 07 | 2014-2016". (there's no official clip for this as yet)...

Former Disney Channel alum Zendaya dances in at #96 with "Something New" featuring Chris Brown. Back in 2013 she slipped into the top-40 at #40 with "Replay". This new single samples the #1 hit "Creep" from TLC...

While lead single "Watch Out" moves up to #91 in its 11th week after peaking at #64, rapper 2 Chainz takes another track from his Collegrove album, "Gotta Lotta" featuring Lil' Wayne, to the #100 position...

And now on to the pop radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Top-40 radio panel, rapper Flo Rida jumps to #1 with "My House". It's his fifth to go to the top as a lead artist, and the first since "Whistle" in 2012...

Ariana Grande comes in at #29 with "Dangerous Woman", the title track to her third album coming in May. It follows "Focus", which made it to #13 on this chart...

Modern rock band Panic! At The Disco march in at #38 with "Victorious". Back in 2006 they peaked at #2 with "I Write Sins Not Tragedies"...

Actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld follows up her debut hit "Love Myself", which topped out at #15 on this chart, with "Rock Bottom", which features the Joe Jonas-led band DNCE, who are at #7 with "Cake By The Ocean"...

And sneaking in at #40 is British producer/DJ Duke Dumont, with his first entry on the pop radio chart in America with "Ocean Drive". The song topped the dance club play chart back in November...

Meanwhile, on the older-skewing Adult Top-40 format, Justin Bieber claims his first #1 hit with "Love Yourself"...

As another teen idol, Zayn from One Direction, pops in at #38 with "Pillowtalk"...

Lastly, on the Adult Contemporary, or "easy-listening", radio chart, Adele reigns for a seventeenth week with "Hello" ...

British singer Ellie Goulding enters at #27 with "Something In The Way You Move" from her Delirium album. It follows "On My Mind", which is at #17 after peaking at #16...

Canadian pop/rock veteran Bryan Adams returns at #29 with "You Belong To Me", my "Pop Pick of the Week"...
