Today's Song of the Day is by the Australian new wave group Real Life, who hail from Melbourne, and released their debut album Heartland in 1983. Their debut single, "Send Me An Angel" at first was a huge hit Down Under, reaching the top-10 in their native land and #1 in neighboring New Zealand....

"Send Me An Angel" not only made the top-40 on the US pop chart, but also graced the dance chart at #54 as well. It reached #1 in Germany as well....

Real Life did the rare feat of sending "Send Me An Angel" into the top-40 twice; in 1989 a re-recorded version of the song did even better by reaching #26.....
