Songoftheday 3/4/13 - Feelin' kinda bluesy you know that you do confuse me all night...

The Little River Band - "You're Driving Me Out of My Mind"
from the album The Net (1983)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #35 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 3

Today's Song of the Day is by the Australian soft-rock group Little River Band, who successfully changed lead singers to start out 1983 and released their first album with John Farnham, The Net, and already scored a top-40 hit with "We Two". They followed it with their most funkiest upbeat single to date, "You're Driving Me Out Of My Mind", punctuated by horns and John's gruff vocals...

"You're Driving Me...." became LRB's 13th and most recent top-40 hit. After another minor hit in the US with "Playing To Win", Farnham left for a solo career where he had one of the biggest-selling singles ever in Australia with "You're The Voice", while former lead singer Glenn Shorrock returned to the band for a while, though these days different ex-members tour with each other and fight over the use of the brand-name.
