Today's Song of the Day is by Canadian rocker Bryan Adams, whose breakthrough album Cuts Like A Knife had already scored him a top-10 hit with "Straight From The Heart" and a #15 followup with the title track.  For his third single he went with the more upbeat straight-ahead rock of "This Time", written with partner Jim Vallance and produced with "big-sound" master Bob Clearmountain...

"This Time" became Bryan's third consecutive top-40 hit in the fall of 1983, and it also did the same in his native Canada and Ireland, while peaking just one rung under the top-40 in Britain. The single also reached #21 on the rock radio chart in the US as well.
