"Why Is It? (Fuk Dat)" was a club hit for Baltimore-based rapper and deep house music artist Sagat the alias of Faustin Lenon. Appearing on his only album My Poem Is...The World According To Sagat, the song was written and produced by Sagat. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single peaked at #3 in 1993, while reaching #54 on their R&B chart and #63 on the pop Hot 100.
