Disco Dessert 2/25/22 - "Let It Whip" by the Dazz Band...

 

 

"Let It Whip" was a big club and radio hiit for the Dazz Band. Appearing on the funk group's album Keep It Live, the song was written by the band's Reggie Andrews and Leon Chancler, with Andrews producing the cut. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single spent four weeks at #2 in 1982, while topping the R&B chart and peaking at #5 on the pop Hot 100.
