 "Chief Inspector" was a club hit for French multi-instrumentalist Wally Badarou. Appearing on his EP Chief Inspector, the instrumental was written and produced by Badarou. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Club Play chart, the song was listed with the single's "B-Side", "Novela Das Nove (Spider Woman)". The record peaked at #26 in 1986.
