Disco Dessert 5/8/21 - "It's A Fine Day" by Opus III...

"It's a Fine Day" was a big club and international hit for British dance music act Opus III. Appearing on their debut album Mind Fruit, the song was a remake of a 1983 tone poem written by Edward Barton and originally recorded by girlfriend Jane Lancaster. This new take was produced by the group and featured vocals from Kirsty Hawkshaw. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club play chart, the single spent a week at #1 in 1992, while climbing to #5 on the British singles chart.
