"Tainted Love" was a club hit for the British studio act Impedance. Released as a standalone single, it's a cover of the 60's northern soul nugget from Gloria Jones that was popularized in the 80s by synthpop duo Soft Cell. The track was written by Ed Cobb and produced by Colour Sound Productions. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart the single peaked at #6 in 1990.
