"The Chase 2000" was a big club hit for the maestro of disco Giorgio Moroder. Remixed by the German duo Jam & Spoon, the stand-alone single was a re-release of his #1 club hit from 1978 from the movie Midnight Express that won Moroder an Academy Award. On Billboard magazine's Dance Club Play chart, the single again topped the list in 2000.
