"It Only Takes A Minute" from the disco group Tavares spent five weeks at #2 on Billboard's Disco/Dance chart in 1975. The single topped the R&B chart for a week, and peaked at #10 on the American pop chart for the band of brothers whose parents came from the Cape Verde Islands in the Atlantic Ocean, who gained independence from Portugal that same year.
