Disco Dessert 8/26/18 - "Y.M.C.A." from the Village People...

An unavoidable ad for the local gym/hostel/hook-up joint, "Y.M.C.A." was released by the Village People in the fall of 1978, where it went to two weeks at #2 on Billboard's Disco/Dance chart. It also reached #2 on the pop chart, and ended up in the top ten for the year of 1979 (#8). The album it came from, Cruisin', also made it to #3 on the Albums chart in America.
