Friday's here, and I'm ready to run down my top 100 tunes from the previous week. Adele reigns supreme for a second week, while twenty-one pilots (pictured above) climb four notches up the top ten. Songs for Zhu/AlunaGeorge, Demi Lovato, and Sara Bareilles make the biggest jumps (moves of 10+ places highlighted in red), while former big hits from Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, Sam Smith, Luke Bryan, and Charlie Puth/Meghan Trainor drop out of the chart.

The top debut of the week at #67 comes from Sam Hunt, who I had described as being country's answer to Drake, as Thomas Rhett was the genre's John Mayer. Hear me out; take Sam's new song, "Break Up In A Small Town", which combines lines of half-rapped, half-sung lyrics with a booming chorus, all with the gorgeous-but-oh-so-emo attitude. Add the scruff, and you've got chick-magnet written all over him (and bear-magnet as well)...

I was just playing Selena Gomez's last album, Stars Dance, and man, it's pretty manufactured and vapid, enjoyable for just its few singles and remixes thereof. She's a little more unprocessed, though turning in the naive fun for plain old stripper-lite fare for her new one. The second single from the project at #90 is "Same Old Love"....

Country singer Granger Smith drives at #96 with his first hit "Backroad Song"...

The last time the DJ duo the Chainsmokers were on my chart, it was with the novelty club banger "#SELFIE". They return at #97 with the more nuanced (but still party-faring) "Roses" featuring ROZES...

Alternative metal band Disturbed take their #1 hard rock hit "The Light" to my list at #98...

Canadian electro-dance duo Adventure Club land at #99 with "Crash 2.0" with Dallask...

The final newbie of the week is from Ukrainian violinist and singer Assia Ahhatt with "6 O'Clock In The Morning" featuring remixer Chris Cox...
