Dance Sweep: December 19, 2015...

I'll wrap up this week's "music sweeps" with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio according to Billboard magazine...

On their DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Demi Lovato climbs to #1 for the fifth time with "Confident"...

The highest entry up at #26 (the halfway mark) is British duo Disclosure with New Zealander singer/songwriter Lorde for "Magnets". The song has already graced the rock radio charts, but with new remixes from the likes of A-Trak ("Barbra Streisand") and Tiga, the clubs are now banging with the song...

French electro-pop star Mylene Farmer remakes Sting's "Stolen Car" along with him, and the former French #1 single sees mixes reach the American club chart at #38, and nabs my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

German dance act Freischwimmer swims in at #39 with their remake of the Mama's and Papa's "California Dreamin'" done in a trop-house way. I guess it's good for being able to sing along the lyrics while you're tweaking in the club...

British DJ/producer Philip George and Anton Powers (aka Cahill the remixer) jump in at #41 with "Alone No More", their former top-10 UK hit. Are they paying royalties for cribbing Robin S's "Show Me Love"?

Israeli singer Maya Simantov and remixer Tracy Young team up at #46 for "I Can Forgive", your standard house music exercise...

And rounding it out at #50 is Lisa Williams with the one-note camp track of "Junk", as in "showing my".

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Adele's "Hello" rules for a second week...

Los Angeles DJ duo Mako land at #31 with "Smoke Filled Room". In May of 2014 they climbed to #5 on this chart with "Beam"...

...as Disclosure's "Magnets" arrives at #33...

That's all for tonight, thanks for taking the trip!
