Dance Sweep: December 26, 2015...


I'll wrap up this week's "music sweeps" of the Billboard charts, checking out the songs that make the grade this week in America's dance clubs and radio stations...

On their DJ-polled Dance Club Play chart, Adele claims yet another victory as "Hello" leaps from #4 to #1. It's her first to make the top here...

Former lead singer of the Wanted Nathan Sykes hopes to repeat the #1 success of his first solo single, "Kiss Me Quick", with the highest new entry of the week at #40, "Over and Over Again", my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

Skylar Strecker's first hit, "Rooftop", went to #11 on the club chart; she's back at #41 with "Crazy Beautiful"...


Remixer Dirty Pop (aka Drew G) lands at #45 with "Gag" featuring Justin Hernandez and Cory Wade...


New Yorker DeGrazio has a second dance hit as "Sacrifice" falls in at #48. Earlier this year his "Shockwaves" hit #23...


Missy Elliott slips in at #50 with the remixes of her hip-hop jam "WTF (Where They From)" featuring Pharrell. Her biggest club hit was "Gossip Folks" which topped this chart in 2003...


Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, "Hello" is on top for a third week...

Swedish EDM master Avicii comes in at #35 with "Broken Arrows", featuring uncredited vocals from Zac Brown.


DJ/producer Jeff Montalvo, who records under the moniker Seven Lions, returns to the airplay chart at #36 with "Falling Away", with vocals from Lights...


The last newbie at #39 is Deorro with Erin McCarley on "I Can Be Somebody"....
