Rock Sweep: June 13, 2015...


Round two of today's "chart sweeps", checking out the songs making the latest charts in Billboard magazine, is up now with the newest on rock radio...

On their main Rock Airplay chart Muse remains at #1 for a fourth week with "Dead Inside"...

Last week's "Rock Pick of the Week", Florence + The Machine's "Ship To Wreck", climbs on the main chart at #43. It follows their "What Kind Of Man", which falls to #41 after peaking at #7. The new track climbs up to #24 in its second week on the Triple-A format...


And now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel Breaking Benjamin spend a fourth week on top with "Failure"...

Melodic metalcore band All That Remains comes in at #33 with "For You", their second hit from their The Order Of Things album. The first, "This Probably Won't End Well", went to #11...


Hard rock "supergroup" Saint Asonia, featuring members of Staind, Finger Eleven, Eye Empire, and former Three Days Grace lead singer Adam Gontier, make their debut at #36 with their first single "Better Place"...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart,  Muse's "Dead Inside" reigns for a fourth week...

Danish pop-punk band New Politics return at #33 with "West End Kids", the second single from their forthcoming album Vikings. The first, "Everywhere I Go (Kings & Queens)", climbed to #19...


Modest Mouse follow up their #1 "comeback" hit "Lampshades On Fire" with the song at #34 with "The Ground Walks, With Time With A Box"...


The aforementioned "Ship To Wreck" from Florence + The Machine enters this chart at #36...

British indie-rock group The Wombats creep in at #38 with "Greek Tragedy", my "Rock Pick of the Week". They went to #15 back in 2011 with "Jump Into The Fog"...


 Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, Of Monsters and Men are at #1 for a second week with "Crystals"...

New York alt-rock band X Ambassadors cross over to this format at #27 with their single "Renegades". The song already is up to #2 on the Alternative list...


Grace Potter returns solo at #30 with "Alive Tonight". With the Nocturals, she went to #15 with "Stars"...
