Rock Sweep: June 6, 2015...


Round two of today's "chart sweeps" is up, checking out the songs making their way on to the various singles charts in Billboard magazine, and this time out I've got the latest on rock radio.

On their main Rock Airplay chart Muse spends a third week at #1 with "Dead Inside"...

South African post-grunge band Seether enter at #41 with "Nobody Praying For Me", the third single from their Isolate and Medicate album. The first, "Words As Weapons", peaked at #12 on this list. The track also moves up to #14 on the Mainstream Rock chart.

British indie-glam band the Struts land at #44 with "Could Have Been Me"...


Highly Suspect take their top-20 Mainstream Rock hit "Lydia" to the main rock chart at #46///


And now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel, Breaking Benjamin are on top for a third week with "Failure"...

Canadian hard rock act Danko Jones arrives at #37 with "Do You Wanna Rock". It's their sixth to make the American list; their last, "Just A Beautiful Day", went to #30 in 2012...


Beartooth, a metalcore band from Ohio, roars in at #38 with "In Between"...


The third single from electro-metal group Starset's debut album Transmissions, "Halo", ascends to #39. The first, "My Demons", climbed to #5 last year...


At #40 is Aussie hard rock legends AC/DC with "Rock The Blues Away", the third hit from their Rock Or Bust album. The first two made the top-10, with "Play Ball" hitting #5 last year...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, "Dead Inside" holds at #1 for a third week...

Reggae-rock band Sublime (now billed as Sublime with Rome) return at #38 with "Wherever You Go". The reformed unit went to #4 in 2011 with "Panic"...


Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format,  Icelandic band Of Monsters and Men move to #1 with "Crystals", their now third #1 hit after "Little Talks" and "Mountain Sound"...

Florence + The Machine follow up their former #1 AAA hit "What Kind Of Man", which tumbles from the top to #9 this week, with "Ship To Wreck", my "Rock Pick of the Week"...


The third single from U2's Songs Of Innocence album, "Song For Someone", enters at #29. The lead-off track "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)" topped this list last year...
