Brit Sweep: May 10, 2015...
The weekend is coming to a close, and it's time to check out the songs making their debut on the official singles chart in the UK this week, as OMI spends a second week at #1 with "Cheerleader"...
The top debut of the week comes from British neo-house duo Blonde, as their former "Song You Should Know About" on my blog becomes their second top-10 hit and highest rank to date as "All Cried Out" enters at #4. The song features vocals from former Glee star Alex Newell, who played the transgender "Unique" on the show, and it's my "Brit Pick of the Week"...

Another big house-music duo, Disclosure, drops in at #50 with "Bang That". In 2013 they climbed to #2 with their classic "White Noise"...
Female vocal group M.O. pops up at #51 with "Preach"...
American rapper Snoop Dogg returns at #58 with his "Peaches And Cream" featuring Charlie Wilson. As a lead artist he's had three top-10 hits in the UK, with "Signs" reaching #2 in 2005 (that song also featured Wilson along with Justin Timberlake)...
Another cut from Mumford & Sons' just-released Wilder Mind album, "Tompkins Square Park", comes in at #86. Their radio single "Believe" also leaps back into the top-40 at #29...
The final new entry at #87 is American soul singer Ne-Yo with "She Knows". It's the third track from his Non-Fiction album to make the top 100 in the UK; "Coming With You" went to #14...
Cheers!
