Pop Sweep: April 11, 2015...
It's time to kick off the first of today's five "chart sweeps", checking out the songs making the various charts in Billboard magazine. As usual, I'll start out on the pop side of the house, then later in the day move on to the latest in rock, R&B, country, and dance music. And away we gooooooo...
On the "big" chart, Billboard's Hot 100, which combines tallies of internet streaming (like Spotify and YouTube), radio airplay from all formats, and sales (like iTunes and AmazonMP3), Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars score a 13th week at #1 with "Uptown Funk!", coming close to the record of 16 from Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's "One Sweet Day"...
As Rihanna's collab with Kanye West and Paul McCartney, "FourFiveSeconds", drops to #8 on the chart, her latest, "B***h Better Have My Money", leaps in at #23. Both are from her upcoming eighth album...

Reggaeton artist Nicky Jam (aka Nick Caminero from Boston) lands his first pop hit as "El Perdon" ("Forgiveness") with Enrique Iglesias is in at #66....
Probably helped in the points department by a minute and a half clip of actor Sean Hayes and his husband lipsyncing, Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson drop in at #67 with "Trouble". It's the second single from Iggy's re-vamped Reclassified album; the first, "Beg For It", went to #27...
French DJ/producer David Guetta dances in at #70 with "Hey Mama" featuring Nicki Minaj and Dutch DJ Afrojack. One other single from his Listen album has made the Hot 100, as "Dangerous" went to #56...
Post-grunge rock band Breaking Benjamin arrive at #80 with "Failure", the first single from their upcoming fifth album Dark Before Dawn. They have one top-40 hit on this chart so far as "I Will Not Bow" peaked at #40 in 2009...
Personal chef-turned-rapper Action Bronson debuts at #91 with his first hit "Baby Blue" featuring Chance The Rapper...(this is gonna give Lunchmoney Lewis' "Bills" a run for the money for the novelty track of the spring)
Country newcomer Canaan Smith enters at #96 with "Love You Like That", which is at #20 on the country airplay list. Smith was a contestant on the 15th season of The Amazing Race, coming in seventh...

The fifth single from country rocker Eric Church's The Outsiders album, "Like A Wrecking Ball", is the last entry on this chart at #100. The second, "Give Me Back My Hometown", reached #36 last year...

On the Mainstream Top-40 radio panel, Taylor Swift is on top for a third week with "Style"...
Meghan Trainor's third single from her Title debut, "Dear Future Husband", moves in at #31. It stands at #55 on the Hot 100 in its 11th week...
British indie-folk singer/songwriter George Ezra comes in at #38 with "Budapest", his top-10 rock hit that is up at #15 on the Adult Top-40 list (and #48 on the Hot 100)...
Pop singer/songwriter Andy Grammer's "Honey, I'm Good." rests at #40. In 2011 his "Keep Your Head Up" peaked at #21 on this chart. This one is at #50 on the Hot 100 (his best) and #14 on Adult Top-40...
