Today's Song of the Day is the second top-40 solo hit from Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter/keyboardist Christine McVie, who after gracing the charts with some of the best the band had to offer ("Say You Love Me", "Songbird", "Don't Stop"), reached the top-10 with "Got A Hold On Me". The followup single, "Love Will Show Us How", written by McVie, along with Todd Sharp, had a push from an intended "big event" video for MTV, when a pre-song intro meant it was an important video....

"Love Will Show Us How" became McVie's second and most recent top-40 pop hit in June of 1984, while also reaching #32 on the adult-contemporary (easy-listening) chart as well. Since then McVie continued with Fleetwood Mac before "retiring" from the band in the early 2000s. She released her next solo record in 2004, and the single "Friend" made it into the adult-contemporary chart that year at #29.

Her album is an understated gem, though it was definitely her "geisha" period with the makeup.
