Rock Sweep: May 23, 2015...


Round two of this week's "chart sweeps" is up with the latest hits on rock radio as monitored by Billboard magazine...

On their main Rock Airplay chart, Muse claims their second #1 hit after "Madness" with "Dead Inside"...

Elle King, singer/actress/daughter of Rob Schneider, lands at #45 with "Ex's And Oh's". The track is at #21 on the Triple-A format...

Hard rock band Nothing More are at #49 with "Jenny", which stands at #14 on the Mainstream Rock list. They previously hit #18 with "This Is The Time (Ballast)"...



And now on to the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel  Breaking Benjamin score their third #1 hit with "Failure"...

British blues/grunge group Kill It Kid land their first hit at #33 with "Blood Stop and Run", my "Rock Pick of the Week"...


Crobot, the hard rock band from Pottsville, Pennsylvania, move in at #37 with "Legend Of The Spaceborne Killer". Last year their single "Nowhere To Hide" peaked at #16...


Tremonti, led by Creed/Alter Bridge guitarist Mark Tremonti, sneaks in at #40 with "Another Heart"...


Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart,  Muse nabs a fourth #1 with the aforementioned "Dead Inside", while "Ex's and Oh's" is the sole new entry at #39...

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") format, Florence + The Machine are on top for a second week with "What Kind Of Man"...

Family act Kopecky come in at #29 with "Quarterback"...


Icelandic indie-rock band Kaleo are in at #30 with "All The Pretty Girls"...
