Today's Song of the Day is by the arena rock band Journey, who shed a couple members for their Raised On Radio album, and scored a top-10 hit with "Be Good To Yourself", and two top-20 follow-ups with "Suzanne" and "Girl Can't Help It". For the fourth single the band released "I'll Be Alright Without You", a more adult-contemporary midtempo number written by the band's core of singer Steve Perry, guitarist Neal Schon, and keyboardist Jonathan Cain...


"I'll Be Alright Without You" became the fourth top-20 pop hit from Raised On Radio in February of 1987. The track also crossed over to #7 on the adult contemporary chart (their first top-10 since "Open Arms" in 1982) and #26 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock radio list. The single was only a minor hit in Canada (#57) internationally...
