Disco Dessert 8/24/23 - "I'm Your Boogie Man" by KC & The Sunshine Band...

 

 

"I'm Your Boogie Man" was a club and radio hit for K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Appearing on their third album Part 3 (naturally), the song was written and produced by group leader Henry Wayne Casey (K.C.) and Richard Finch. On Billboard magazine's National Disco Action Top-40, the Part 3 album was listed as a single entry, with all the tracks listed as key DJ cuts, where it peaked at #9. "I'm Your Boogie Man" went to #1 on the pop Hot 100 and #3 on the R&B Singles chart as well.

The B-side of the 7" single, "Wrap Your Arms Around Me", also went to #48 on the Hot 100 and #24 on the R&B chart...

Here's "I Like To Do It", which peaked at #37 on the Hot 100 and #4 on the R&B list...

There were two other top ten hits from the album. "(Shake Shake Shake) Shake Your Booty" went all the way to #1 on both the pop and R&B charts...

And lastly, my favorite from the album, "Keep It Comin' Love"...
