Disco Dessert 8/17/23 - "Casanova Brown" by Gloria Gaynor...

 

 
"Casanova Brown" was a big club hit for singer Gloria Gaynor. Appearing on her second album Experience Gloria Gaynor, the song was written by Jimmy Roach and was produced by Meco Menardo, Tony Bongiovi, and Jay Ellis. On Record World magazine's Disco File Top-20 chart, the Experience album was listed as a single entry, with the first three cuts, "Casanova Brown", "(If You Want It) Do It Yourself", and "How High The Moon" were listed as key DJ cuts. The record spent a week there at #1 in 1975.

And lastly, here's her cover of the oldies standard "How High The Moon", which made it to #73 on the R&B chart, and #75 on the Hot 100...
