twostepcub's New Albums Roundup 12/11/22...
Happy Sunday, everybody, it's time for this week's new album round-up,
where I sample my picks of the best of the albums making their debut on Billboard
magazine's sales charts as well as the same across the pond in the
United Kingdom. You can check out yesterday's new singles recap by clicking here.
Billboard 200 debut: #35
Billboard Current Albums Sales debut: #2
Choice cut: "Listen To Her Heart"
A document of Petty and the Heartbreakers' twenty-show residency at the legendary rock venue stitched into a three and a half hours mega-concert that has them pretending to be the Fillmore's "house band", with half Petty songs and half inspired covers that is so well conceived yet so freeform that it's simply my favorite live album of the year.

Billboard 200 debut: #100
Billboard Current Albums Sales debut: #8
Choice cut: "New Shoes"
While this may be the leftovers from the recording of the rap collective's swan song The Family, it's still an entertaining listen if not as cohesive as its immediate predecessor.
Billboard Current Albums Sales debut: #81
Choice cut: "H.O.L.Y."
For better or worse, this duo had a huge impact on the sound of country music in the last decade, and this collection of their hits at least makes their individual albums obsolete.
British Albums Sales debut: #1
Choice cut: "This Is What I Mean"
On his third album the British rapper elevates his game to expand the sound of the album to include Afrobeat jams and gentle ballads but still has cuts that hit hard.
British Album Sales debut: #100
Choice cut: "Race Through Space"
The eccentric new wave singer from England that never crossed over to America gets a CD release for the first time of a concert in her prime from 1981 just as her YouTube virality is bringing her a new audience.
