Disco Dessert 12/9/20 - "Dancing In Heaven (Orbital Be-Bop)" from Q-Feel...
"Dancing In Heaven (Orbital Be-Bop)" was a club and radio hit for the British new wave act Q-Feel. First appearing on their 1982 album Q-Feel and later on the soundtrack to the Sarah Jessica Parker movie Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, the song was written by the group's Martin Page and Brian Fairweather. On Billboard magazine's Hot Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #18 in 1982. Seven years later, the song had a brief renaissance on the radio and went to #75 on the American pop Hot 100 list. It was made for the Eurovision Song Contest national entry competition in the UK, but lost out that year.
