"Show Me The Way" was a club hit for the duo Race, which was a synth-pop side project from two members of the soul group Champaign, Michael Day and Rocky Maffitt. Released as a one-off single, the track was written by Day and Maffitt and produced by Gary Pini. On Billboard magazine's Dance/Disco Top-80 chart, the single peaked at #41 in 1982, spending 15 weeks on the list. Singer/keyboardist Day passed away from cancer in 2001.
