Rock Sweep: November 29, 2014....

Round two of today's "chart sweeps" is up, sampling the songs making the radio charts in Billboard magazine, and this time it's the latest hits on rock radio...

On the main Rock Airplay chart, the Foo Fighters spend a fourth week at #1 with "Something From Nothing"...

Punk/hardcore rock act Rise Against claim the top new entry of the week at #47 with "Tragedy + Time", my "Rock Pick of the Week". It's the second single from their Black Market album; the first, "I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore", went to #10 on this chart...

Scottish singer/songwriter Paolo Nutini lands at #48 with "Let Me Down Easy", which is at #5 on the Triple-A list...

Metalcore band In This Moment arrives at #49 with "Sick Like Me". Last year they climbed to #26 with "Blood". This new one also moves up to #15 on the Mainstream Rock chart...

And now on the rock radio format charts...

On the Mainstream Rock radio panel,  the Foo Fighters are on top for a fourth week, while the aforementioned Rise Against track comes in at #39...

Massachusetts alt-metal group Rev Theory enter at #40 with "Born 2 Destroy". Back in 2009 they went to #15 with "Far From Over"...

Meanwhile, on the Alternative/Modern Rock chart, Milky Chance's "Stolen Dance" is at #1 for a tenth week..

Alternative electronica artist Robert DeLong flies in at #33 with "Long Way Down"...

Indie-rock band Cold War Kids enter at #39 with "All Of This Could Be Yours". It's their sixth hit on this chart; last year they went to #22 with "Miracle Mile"...

The aforementioned "Tragedy + Time" also comes in at #40...

Lastly, on the Triple-A (adult album alternative, or "hipster rock") radio format,  U2's "The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone" remains at #1 for a second week...

Singer/songwriter Damien Rice has the sole debut at #26 with "I Don't Want To Change You"...
