Aussie Sweep: September 3, 2014...

G'day mates, I'm ready to head Down Under yet again to check out the songs making the official singles chart in Australia this week, as Taylor Swift jumps four spots to #1 with "Shake It Off". It's her second #1 in this country; she topped the list way back in 2008 with "Love Story"...

The top debut of the week is from dance/pop artist Redfoo, who was previously half of the act LMFAO (the "Party Rock Anthem" guys). He went to #1 here last year with his breakout solo hit "Let's Get Ridiculous", and now enters at #24 with "New Thang"...

Rapper Eminem teams up with Aussie singer/songwriter Sia at #29 for "Guts Over Fear" from the soundtrack to the movie The Equalizer. Californian lite-hip-pop singer Becky G debuts at #34 with her top-20 American hit "Shower"...

Aussie singer/songwriter Vance Joy enters at #43 with "Wasted Time", my "Aussie Pick of the Week". He currently is having success around the world with his "Riptide", which went to #6 originally in this country...

Pitbull dances in at #44 with his "Fireball" featuring John Ryan...

The final new song of the week at #50 is from Dean Ray, a finalist in the current season of The X Factor Australia (where Redfoo is a judge/mentor). His version of "Reckless", a #1 hit in this country for the local band Australian Crawl from 1983, is the first of the new season to make the chart...
