I'm ready to cross the border over to Germany to check out the latest songs to reach the official chart, as Pitbull & Ke$ha spend a third week at #1 with "Timber"...
It's a very slow post-holiday week, though at least in this country there are three new songs, all international hits imported in (as of this week, "internet streaming" is included in the chart tally along with sales). Hopefully they won't make a mockery of the biz like in the States (hello, 30-second meme shit).....The top debut of the week is from American hip-hop team of Macklemore and Ryan Lewis at #78 with "White Walls". They took both "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us" to #2, and "Same Love" to #25...

Russo-German DJ and producer Zedd is back at #88 with "Stay The Night" featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore. He actually hasn't done that well in his home country (he moved from Russia to the southwestern city of Kaiserslautern), with his international hits "Spectrum" and "Clarity" only making it to #80 and #94 respectively.
The last entry of the week at #97 is a relatively modest one for Beyonce and hubby Jay Z with "Drunk In Love". She's gone top-ten here as a solo artist nine times, topped the chart in this country only once so far with her collab with Shakira, "Beautiful Liar"...
That's it for tonight...I'll return tomorrow with another Song of the Day, 60s fever is back, and I'll check out what's Down Under. Auf Wiedersehen!
