Dance Sweep: January 11, 2014...

I'm up to the last of today's "chart sweeps" sampling the records making the Billboard singles charts, and I'll close things out with the latest dance jams in the clubs and on the radio..

On the DJ-polled Hot Dance Club Play chart, 17-year-old Cole Plante scores his first #1 hit with "Lie To Me" with Myon and Shane 54 and Koko Laroo...

The highest entry of the week at #40 is Swedish DJ and producer Avicii, who is already climbing the chart with "You Make Me", which jumps to #10 this week. His latest is "Hey Brother" featuring bluegrass singer Dan Tyminski on vocals...

Iconic British electro-pop duo Erasure return at #46 with a track from their seasonal album Snow Globe. "Gaudete" is an adaptation of a 16th century Latin carol. It's my "Dance Pick of the Week"...

Dave Aude', who remixed the Erasure single, teams up with Justin Caruso and Christina Novelli at #47 for "Satellite". Caruso is an 18-year-old producer from Los Angeles, while Christina is the daughter of reknowned French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli...

Newcomer Cary Nokey debuts at #49 with "Incredible"....


The last entry on the club chart at #50 is "Thundergod" from British DJ and BBC radio personality Danny Howard with the Futuristic Polar Bears...

Meanwhile, on the radio-monitored Hot Dance Airplay/Mixshow chart, Zedd and Hayley Williams spend a sixth week on top with "Stay The Night", and no songs are making their debut...
