New Edition - "Mr. Telephone Man"
from the album New Edition (1984)
Billboard Hot 100 peak: #12 (one week)
Weeks in the Top-40: 8

"Mr. Telephone Man" became the group's second top-40 pop hit in Febuary of 1985, while topping the soul chart for three weeks. Across the pond in England, the single did better than "Cool It Now", reaching #19, as well as making the top-40 in Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland.

The song was originally recorded by Jamaican artist Junior Tucker in 1983..

Female pop vocal group Dream covered the song on their debut set in 2001..
